4 Foods and Beverages to Avoid If Nobody Wants Old Fast


Longevity and youthful is the desire of most humans.
A healthy lifestyle is one way to make it happen, including diet should not be arbitrary.

Some types of food can make the aging process happens faster than it should. Others, in the true sense can affect telomeres shorten due, which is one of the components of cells that protect DNA from damage.

Types of foods should be reduced if not even want to get old or die young, including the following, as summarized from various sources, on Monday (03/11/2014).

1. Soda


Soda is the enemy of telomeres. Recent studies on 5,309 adults, published in the American Journal of Public Health shows that too much soda can make the aging process occurs 4.6 years sooner.

2. Processed meats

The good news, these negative effects can be offset by sufficient intake of fiber from vegetables and fruits.

4. Alcohol 


Just like red meat, alcohol is also associated with the risk of chronic diseases including fatty liver and metabolic syndrome.
A study in Cancer Research Annual Meeting shows, telomeres can also shorten as a result of excessive alcohol consumption. Although there are studies that say red wine contains antioxidants, should certainly not have to overdo it.
